About Me

Hi!  My name is Amanda, and I am so happy you found my little corner in the teacher blogging world :) I am starting my third year teaching First Grade and I find that I love teaching more and more each day.  I am so inspired by all the wonderful things happening in the educational community (in SPITE of all the obstacles placed in our way!) and am looking forward to growing and networking through our online community.

A little about me ....

I just celebrated my one year wedding anniversary with my super sweet husband.  I can't believe how quickly time goes by!  I'm having lots of fun playing home maker, burning trying out new recipes, and enjoying all the new experiences of married life (minus the children aspect!)

We *did* bring home a fur baby last year, and I think she has us both totally wrapped around her precious little paws.  Her name is Harper and this is a picture of her on the day we brought her home!

I love my family like crazy, and owe them everything.  They raised me to put God first in all things, and trust him to guide me on the right path.  This is something I have to remind myself A LOT (I mean seriously, teaching is stressful!!), but so far this mantra has served me well :)
