*Egg*celent Behavior!

Okay, so how much do you LOVE plastic Easter eggs?!  They are super cheap and the possibilities are endless.  Unlike many of you lucky duckies, we have not made it to Spring Break yet (Catholic school ... centered around Easter!)  My kids are definitely feeling the spring fever, and my normal behavior tricks haven't been quite as effective lately.  I decided to switch it up a bit by bringing in a basket of eggs stuffed with small treats (stickers, candy, etc.)  When a I notice a child working hard and/or quietly I can tell them to go pick an egg.  The twist ... 5 eggs are stuffed with this special slip:

The five kids who find the eggs with this slip get to eat lunch with me in the classroom on Friday.  Oh my goodness, has this worked like magic!  All I have to say is, "Hmm, I think I'm going to hand out another egg after math tubs.  I'll be on the look out for someone working extra hard" and the room goes silent!  Click below if you want to download the slips:

Hope this helps you battle the spring fever craze!! If you have any fun behavior tricks that are working great for you, I'd love to hear them!

  1. What a fun idea! I just downloaded your freebie and I'm off to buy some eggs. So excited to start this tomorrow. We still have two more weeks until spring break!
